The first 3 questions you should ask all DJs when looking for your DJ for your wedding.
1. Is being a DJ your full time job?
2. Do you currently work as a wedding DJ and how many wedding have you done personally?
3. Are you the DJ that will be my DJ on the day?
You are getting married in 6 weeks (or less) and you’re starting to think maybe a DJ is a good idea.
Up until now you’ve planned on a playlist from Spotify or any number of the many streaming/playlist options available in 2023 but you are starting to think is this a good idea. Yes it will save you money because entertainment can be expensive; it does\nt have to be. The problem with a playlist (Jukebox) is although you can select the right music for you, you can NOT pick when it is played and the order it is played.
Wedding entertainment is al about the right MUSIC, at the right VOLUME…. at the right TIME!
SWithout sounding like a ‘big head’ Ive been doing this for 42 years and I can not pre plan a playlist for any wedding. It is the ‘read a crowd factor’ you hear some DJs talk about.
So what’s the solution?
Do NOT go out and BOOK A DJ! That’s right you heard me correctly. Do NOT run out and book a DJ!
What you should do is ring a DJ and ask then for what they can do for you but only after they’ve tanken the time to LISTEN to what you wand (and need). Only then will you know the extra EXPENSE FOR A DJ IS WORTH IT.
